DAY 4 - Around Copenhagen

Copenhagen is filled with many sculptures. Maggie is looking at a gargoyle in front of town hall. There are also gargoyles around the peeing boar fountain.

If you look very closely, you may notice that the lady on top of this fountain is definitely spraying water from her chest.

Everybody in Copenhagen bikes everywhere all the time. This cycle sea is a pretty standard form of commuter parking.

Tycho Brahe has his own planetarium in Copenhagen. But we never got a chance to go to it, even though it had a 3-D Imax movie about dinosaurs. Bumout.

There was even a scuplture underwater in the canal running through the middle of the city. It's really hard to see, but there were a lot of jellyfish floating around here.

Our random wandering led us to a large park called Rosenborg Have. We sat on a bench for a while there, where Maggie caused her leg to fall asleep. When we got up to leave, sleepleg resulted in Maggie falling down, pictured above.

DONG ENERGY.

Still funny.

Tivoli Gardens is a 165 year old theme park located in the middle of Copenhagen. These are two of the entrances!

This exquisitely adorned stage was one of the first things we saw when we got into Tivoli. At night, the peacock parts and crazy Danish ballet takes place.

Tivoli has its own live orchestra. They are not in a subway and they are very well appreciated.

This fountain had some kind of crazy clear tubes with bubbling crap going on in there.

We did not go on the Nautilus.

But we DID go into the Viking-themed Valhal restaurant. Behold the giant spears and axes adorning the walls!

All children in Valhal received a plastic viking helmet to wear during their meal. Maggie has depicted this with a drawing so that we didn't have to be the creepy jerks taking pictures of other people's kids.

Maggie became friends with this crab statue.

BETRAYAL!

Tivoli also has its own aquarium where we met this grouper. Maggie taught him to read.

Some more fish.

These are also fish.

Dear Cindy: UNICORN FISH ON IS GAH.

Suddenly it became nighttime. We were then made aware that in Tivoli there are lights strung on every available surface.

Tivoli has a lake too. HOLY CARP!

Now we arrive at one of the highlights of our entire vacation: MINEN. It is a fantastic underground water ride.

Minen features a colony of moles who seem to be excavating a dragon out of the ground or something.

This thing coughs and sneezes on you as you ride by it. It's less disgusting than that sounds.

These were just some sweet window bars we saw on our walk back from Tivoli.
