Still not quite adjusted to the time zone after 3 days, we woke up shortly before lunch. Thus, we started our day with a walk to find Á Næstu Grösum, a vegetarian restaurant East of our apartment.

Our meals and dessert were both awesome and I'm kind of bummed that we didn't manage to go back and eat there a second time.

After lunch we set out to find the Sun Voyager sculpture on the harbor, but ended up finding a lot of other things instead. This was Harpa, the beautiful new concert & conference center in the city.

FNUGG plates and a street called Burgerjoint both made us laugh, but neither of these were the Sun Voyager sculpture we were looking for.

We gave up looking after a while and decided to go to this Maritime Museum in the harbor instead.
The main thing I learned at this museum was that the key players in Iceland's maritime history were TONS OF DESSICATED FISH.

After the museum we set out to walk essentially the entire width of our map of Reykjavík, heading East to see the large park & botanical gardens, Fjölskyldugarðurinn. On the way we were amazed by a brief appeance of blue skies over the harbor!

En route to the park, we finally found the Sun Voyager statue and realized it had been 3 blocks from where we ate lunch. We just guessed left when we should've guessed right.

Maggie amused herself by photographing her tiny Stonehenge replica in another country.

After another brief rain shower, we got a nice rainbow over this display of fall colors.

Some miles later we reached the park. I have no idea what that cool building was in the background.

We entered the botanical garden and were greeted by a swarm of greedy ducks expecting some food. Notice them all swimming directly towards me.

Taking pictures of each other from opposite sides of this sculpture deal.

This was closed, so I could not get inside to determine how many Bagginses it contained.

We left the park through the wrong side and ended up way off course. The result was a few miles to walk to where we'd planned dinner (yes, more delicious Indian food).

I'd intended to photograph our meals, but we were too hungry from all the walking and ate them in a matter of seconds. Maggie then enjoyed a Viking beer.
