On our final day we took a bus to the Blue Lagoon, where we'd spend a couple hours on the way to the airport. This was what we saw from the bus window as we pulled into the lot.

Walking up to the entrance we were surrounded by large walls of lava rock.

Up close, the water looks bizarrely milky.

We started with some breakfast before heading out for a swim.

Again it was about 40 degrees and raining pretty hard, but the lagoon is around 100 °F, so it was actually quite comfortable (provided that you kept your entire body below the chin under the water at all times).

After the lagoon we reached the Keflavík Airport, which has been voted Europe's nicest airport. This was some of the art in the shopping area.

Keflavík should also be voted Europe's Emptiest Airport. This was the security line. There are four people there.

We passed over Greenland on the flight home and the landscape from above was mindboggling. I didn't do a good job of capturing it.

While playing with the touchscreen at my airplane seat, I discovered a "surveys" section and clicked it. This was what came up. As you can see, I correctly chose "Disagree".

Finally back at home with Linus licking my beard. Everything back to normal!
