 We said goodbye to our goofy friend, Olaf, this week. Though he was getting to be a bit of an old man, it was still a very sudden and unexpected loss. Way too much bad pet news this year. |

 We lost Roti in November, Ben in December, and today Dosa has left us. Dosa was ancient for a dwarf hamster, living well over two years and she was still a hyperactive cereal-eating maniac until her last day. I will really miss her excitement every day when she heard me come home from work and would run out and beg for attention and food.  Finally a pet post that's not bad. We're hamster-sitting for our friends right now so we're currently taking care of a wonderful little fluff by the name of Cinnamon. I haven't had a "big" hamster in about 16 years, so it's a fun change of pace. She was a bit jumpy at first but I've already got her quite fond of being handled. She's extraordinarily gentle and friendly! |

 It's been a rough stretch with pets lately. We very unexpectedly lost our beloved Benny on Christmas Eve, which was probably the saddest day I can remember having. I really miss all my dogs, but these pictures are a great reminder of how awesome they all were. |

 My good friend, Roti, passed away yesterday. She was almost two years old and was probably the sweetest, gentlest creature I have ever met. I put together some of my favorite pictures of Roti from when she was a tiny baby to when she was a distinguished old gray lady. |
