| Today I discovered that one of my favorite songwriters, John Darnielle (of The Mountain Goats), is a fan of my work in my metal project Helcaraxë. I dropped him an email about his post and had a nice conversation in which I got an unbeatable feeling from having one of my most respected songwriters compliment my own compositions. As a result, I'm having an awesome day. And to return the favor in some small way, I encourage everyone to listen to John's music because it's outstanding. My favorite Mountain Goats album is Tallahassee, but lately I've been listening a lot to TLOTWTC and his recent split with John Vanderslice. |
